The Apple of Our Pie!

1095 Electronic Consent Report
Every good host needs a good serving platter and table setting. Every good way to collect data needs a good report to view that data. As we begin looking towards the new year and all the joys it can bring, we also know it will bring ACA Reporting and the time to start planning is now.

Now that you can leverage your enrollment solution to capture whether your employees agree to receive their 1095 forms electronically or not, you can put that information to work! The new 1095 Electronic Consent Report can tell you which employees have not yet completed the agreement or that said no so you can anticipate your printing costs or send them.

In case you were wondering, this new reason to be thankful can be found under Employee Reports.

Deactivating Qualifying Life Events

Perhaps you don't offer the particular event. Perhaps it was created in error. We are not here to question your reasons, just to help you achieve your enrollment goals. And if that goal is to remove one (or all) of the types of Life Events previously created, then away those gizzards shall go!

To remove an existing Qualifying Event being offered to your employees:

  1. Log into bCEnroll as a company administrator/system administrator by going to the following website: https://enroll.benefitsconnect.net
  2. Click on Companies and a list of your Employer Groups will be shown. Then select the company you wish to view from the list provided. Alternately, if your list of employer groups is large, click Search after selecting Companies and enter in the company name into the appropriate field and click Apply.
  3. Click on Setup & Configuration, and from the drop-down menu select Qualifying Events.

  1. Click the Edit button of the Event you would like to disable.
  2. De-select all associated benefits until you see "Nothing Selected".
  3. Click Save.

It is important to note that you must Approve or Deny any pending requests prior to disabling the Qualifying Event type.

  1. Company ID – How do you tell Uncle Steven and Cousin Steven apart when they're both named Steven? Sure, you could change the name of one to Steve, but he may not like it. In our benefits world, we would use an Employee ID or SSN. And that is exactly why we added the Company ID to bCEnroll. So that you can easily tell the difference between "ACME FOODS Inc." and "ACME FOODS, Inc". Why they share a company name is a question best answered after the next glass of wine.

  2. Employee Eligibility Report – We are all racing around getting ready for our parties and don't have time for Eligibility Reports to take very long. We added some hamsters to the wheels in the back so it won't take as long as it used to generate this report.

  3. Consolidated Enrollment Form - Beneficiaries – We recently added Beneficiaries to the Consolidated Enrollment Form and are now masking the SSNs of any beneficiaries listed. Sometimes SSNs are not required of beneficiaries, but when they are you can rest assured their information is protected.

  4. Company Communications – We increased the limit of how many items can be uploaded to the Company Communications page from 20 to 30. The more the merrier!

These Geese Were Cooked!

Fixed: - The "Skip Enrollment" radio button for Universal Life Plans was like that one guest that RSVPs and doesn't show up. We found him. He's here now and it looks like he'll be staying for a while.

Fixed: - We put out the "Welcome" mat! When customizing the Welcome page for your employees, if you tried uploading your own image instead of using the default, there was an issue with the image saving correctly. You should be able to put up your own image now, but please, no more cat pictures.
