3rd Year VB - Age Banded with Audit
Critical Illness – Employee & Spouse
Year 1 & 2
Employee Critical Illness:
Critical Illness offered in offered amounts of $5k-$50k, with both tobacco and non-tobacco plans
Eligibility is based on tobacco user answer
Spouse Critical Illness:
Critical Illness offered in incremental amounts of $2500-$25k, with both tobacco and non-tobacco plans.
Eligibility is based on enrollment in employee CI as well as tobacco user answer .
Year 3
Critical Illness can be offered in the same manner WITHOUT building out additional “existing”, “new enrollee” or “buy-up” plans. They will need to pull a 900, perform a v-lookup to the 500 to see who is moving between age bands and modify their election after the rollover/OE has been completed.
The above is the alternative to creating a number of additional plans and is an option if brokers/admins do not want all of the additional plans.
Employee Critical Illness:
Eligibility is based on tobacco user answer
Spouse Critical Illness:
Eligibility is based on enrollment in employee CI as well as tobacco user answer
Critical Illness - Child
Year 1
Critical Illness offered in offered amounts of $5k and $10k.
Eligibility is only contingent upon being enrolled in employee CI.
Year 2
Critical Illness offered in offered amounts of $5k and $10k, but now it is based on tobacco usage as well as age banded.
Eligibility will be based on tobacco user answer, as well as employee age in addition to the employee CI contingency.
Year 3
Same set-up as year 2. Critical Illness can be offered in the same manner WITHOUT building out additional “existing”, “new enrollee” or “buy-up” plans.
